Christmas Cookies

Ingredients:

5 cups Lifestyle Food Cake Flour

1 cup almond milk

3 tbsp ginger powder

1 tbsp cinnamon powder

1 tsp cardamom powder

1 tsp baking powder

3 eggs

1 cup brown sugar

½ cup honey

1 cup water

Icing ingredients:

500g icing sugar

2 egg whites

Method:

In a large bowl mix together the flour, ginger, cinnamon, cardamom and baking powder. Then in another bowl whisk the eggs together with the sugar, water and honey.

Mix all ingredients together and knead. The dough will be very stiff but sticky.

Place dough in the fridge for 3 hours.

Heat the oven to 180C.

Roll out the cookie dough and cut out the stars, place on a baking tray and bake until golden brown. Then lay on a cooling rack to cool down completely before decorating.

In a bowl whip the egg whites and then add in the icing sugar. 

Decorate with the icing and some silver balls.
