Tasty Tomato Pasta
Ingredients
250g Lifestyle Foods Gluten Free Pasta
2 tbsp olive oil
½ medium onion, diced
½ tsp red chilli flakes
1 clove of garlic, minced
400g crushed tomato
½ cup of pasta water (reserve after draining cooked pasta)
Method
- Cook pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside. Don’t forget to save a cup of the pasta water for the sauce.
- In a pan, heat the olive oil and fry diced onion until translucent.
- Add the chili flakes and garlic, followed by the crushed tomato.
- Leave the mixture to simmer uncovered for 15 minutes.
- If the sauce becomes too thick, use the reserved pasta water to thin it out.
- Add the drained pasta to the sauce mixture. Toss to combine and serve immediately.
