Bulgar Wheat Mushroom Balls

Tired of the same old boring meatballs for dinner? It’s time to shake things up with Life in the South’s bulgar wheat mushroom balls – perfect as an on the go snack or part of a hearty dinner.

Ingredients

2 cups roasted button mushrooms

1 cup Lifestyle Food Bulgar Wheat – cooked

1/4 cup Lifestyle Food Nutritional Yeast

1/4 cup Lifestyle Food Walnuts – crushed

1 tbsp margarine

Salt and pepper

1 tsp dried thyme

Roasted vegetables

Cauliflower mash

Vegan gravy

Fresh herbs

Balsamic drizzle

Method

1. Place all of the ingredients in a high-speed blender until smooth, scoop out the batter with a spoon and roll the bulgar wheat balls in the palm of your hands, place them in the fridge to set for a few minutes before frying in coconut oil.

2. Serve with roasted vegetables, cauliflower mash and vegan gravy.
