Vegan Caramel
Looking for an ice cream topping or something to take a freshly baked dessert to the next level? We’ve got just the thing.
Ingredients
- 400ml Lifestyle Food coconut cream
- 1/3 cup Lifestyle Food macadamia nut butter
- 1 cup Lifestyle Food coconut sugar
- 1/2 cup golden syrup or honey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Method
- Place all of the caramel ingredients (except the vanilla and salt) in a pot and bring to a simmer and whisk every now again for 15 minutes or so until everything starts to thicken and caramelise.
- Once thickened pour into a glass jar and store at room temperature for about a week.
