Blueberry Protein Fluff with Chia Seeds
Whipped blueberry protein fluff with chia & hemp seeds
Blueberry protein fluff is a thick, mousse-like bowl made by blending Greek yoghurt, vanilla protein powder, banana, blueberries and chia seeds until light and airy. It takes 10 minutes, serves one and works as a high-protein breakfast or a snack after a workout.
Two tablespoons of Lifestyle Food Chia Seeds go straight into the blender. Give the fluff 5 minutes to rest and they’ll thicken it slightly, so it holds its shape on the spoon. Hemp seeds and extra blueberries on top add a bit of crunch.
Ingredients
For the fluff:
- 150g plain Greek yoghurt
- 1 scoop (25–30g) vanilla protein powder
- ½ ripe banana
- ½ cup blueberries, plus extra to serve
- 2 tbsp Lifestyle Food Chia Seeds
- 1–2 tbsp milk of your choice, if needed
- 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
To serve:
- 1 tbsp hemp seeds
- Extra blueberries
- A drizzle of honey (optional)

Blueberry protein fluff FAQs
- What is protein fluff?
Protein fluff is a whipped, mousse-like snack made by blending protein powder into a creamy base. This version uses Greek yoghurt, banana and chia seeds, so it comes out thick and spoonable straight from the blender.
- Can I use frozen blueberries?
Yes. Frozen blueberries make it colder and thicker, closer to soft-serve. You may need an extra splash of milk to help it blend.
- Can I make it without protein powder?
Yes. Leave it out and add another 50g Greek yoghurt instead. It will be less sweet, so you may want the honey.
- Can I make it dairy-free?
Swap the Greek yoghurt for a thick plant-based yoghurt, use a plant-based protein powder and milk, and sweeten with maple syrup instead of honey.
- Can I make it ahead?
It’s best eaten fresh. You can keep it covered in the fridge for up to a day, but the chia seeds will keep thickening it, so stir in a splash of milk before serving.
