BBQ Chickpea Popcorn  

A crunchy, delicious snack packed with protein – say hello to chickpea popcorn!


  • 1 ½ cup Chickpeas soaked in water overnight 
  • Olive oil  
  • 1 tbsp honey  
  • 1 ½ tsp BBQ spice  
  • Salt and pepper to taste  


  1. Drain the chickpeas, place in water, add salt and 1 tsp baking soda, bring to a boil and boil until soft.  
  2. Remove once soft, drain and wash, place the chickpeas on paper towels and rub off the skins.  3. Place in a bowl, and drizzle with olive oil, honey, BBQ spice, salt and pepper. Mix well until well covered.  
  3. Place on a baking pan and bake for 10-15 minutes at 180 until crispy, or place in the air fryer until crispy. Serve and enjoy!
